Peter Pré needs little introduction to those who visit this site as it is he that has produced the wonderful Chaparral 2J "sucker" car in 1/32nd scale featured elsewhere. His next project was the fantastic Mercedes-Benz transporter in also 1/32nd scale. A huge undertaking that has taken some considerable time to do, but the final result is simply wonderful. The purpose of this article is to give you some insight into the painstaking process he went to in developing this wonderful slot-transporter!

I've included pictures Peter took as the project developed and also numerous pictures of the one I've completed. The Mercedes W196 "cargo" is a Pre-Add release from Mac Pinches (to be released in February 2004). Peter has told me that all the kits he has made are spoken for and there will be no more!
